Power Line Hires Hitting and Catching Coach

SAN DIEGO, California (January 28, 2013) – Power Line Consulting is pleased to announce the hiring of its newest staff member, San Diego native and Louisville standout Chelsea Bemis

Power Line: Hitting and Catching coach.

San Diego State: One of the top players on the West Coast … An All-American candidate … Two-year captain who leads by example … A hard worker … Possesses a strong arm … A gap hitter who can also hit for power … A scholar-athlete.

HONORS: University of Louisville
2011- BIG EAST alternative team, member of 200 hits club, owns the career RBI record with 191, Ranked 16th in the NCAA standing for doubles per game
2010- 2010 BIG EAST Player of the Year... NFCA/Louisville Slugger All-Great Lakes Region Second Team... All-BIG EAST First Team member... Two-time BIG EAST Player of the Week... Louisville Slugger/NFCA National Player of the Week on 4/27 (first time in school history).
2009: Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Great Lakes Region selection... All BIG EAST Conference first team selection
2008- Named to BIG EAST honor roll (March and April), led the BIG EAST with RBI’s (50)
Traveled to Prague and Australia to compete internationally with the USAAI (USA Athletes International) organization in summers of 2009 and 2011

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Played softball for four years under coach Ruby Chavez... Won California Interscholastic Federation division two during senior season... Selected Female Athlete of the Year as a senior... Member of the 2006 Union Tribune All-Academic team ... Played for the San Diego Renegades U18 Gold team... Also lettered in volleyball for four years.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Phil and Kelly Bemis... Born Chelsea Marie Bemis on August 26, 1989... Nickname is Sels, CBeam or Chels dawg... Major is sport administration.
